Lesley
Gore
Friday, March 2
Doors 7:30, Show 8pm
On March 30, 1963, a honey-haired 16 year old high school
junior went into a Manhattan recording studio with producer
Quincy Jones and a battery of musicians. They emerged
hours later with a song called "It's My Party"
and the rest is history. She went on to record several
more albums and scored hits with, “You Don’t
Own Me”, and “Judy’s Turn to Cry”
among others. Gore has just released a new album entitled,
“Ever Since”. It is a stripped down lovely
affair which highlights Gore’s still perfect voice.
